CAN-Bus Packet forwarding and logging

Project:

This project was developed with a team that races in F4 category. The purpose of the project is to log the signals coming from EFI control unit and from other external devices.
Moreover add possibility to connect not compatible CAN-Bus device such as aftermarket steering wheels, dashboard and electronic shifting.

Requirements:

  1. CAN-Bus logging with very high robustness and reliability
  2. Log 2 bus at 1Mbit/s and 500kb/s with different ID protocol, Ext and Std
  3. Packet lost less than 0.01%
  4. Possibility to forward packets from ECU that works on primary CAN-Bus at 500kb/s to second bus working at 1Mb/s
  5. Possibility to change packets structure and generate new packet to control device such as aftermarket steering wheels, dashboard and electronic shifting
  6. Latency less than 2ms from ECU shifting signal to start of actuation
  7. Reliability in every conditions.
  8. Weight less than 50g.

The requirments was satisfied using our CanController module.
